A ShowIt Web Photoshow

A bit over two years ago I purchased a program for putting photo slideshows up on the web. But it wouldn’t work on WordPress blogs. Things have changed and now I’m trying it out. But I still can’t get it working by linking it directly.

So here’s a yet another way:

Think I might have to get a paid blog so it will all go up easier.  And Quicker.

If you’ve been a regular reader you’ll be aware I started doing photobooths at weddings early last year.  Been a huge hit.  So I thought I would drop a vid of one I did up – there’s always far more pics to show than will fit.  Nonetheless a selection was made.

a quick suggestion before the video. After you click play, just as it starts hit the pause button and let it download at least half way before you play it – otherwise, depending on your download speed it may stop and start.  Don’t know about you but that annoys the daylights out of me.

Ok I started this post some hours ago.  But couldn’t get the direct link to work on my blog now.  Not sure the problem but there is more than one way to skin a cat – as the saying goes.

And if that does not work, my brilliant daughter showed me how to upload them to YouTube and embed the video that way.

Well I’m still playing around with Animoto photoshows.  It’ll take me a bit of experimentation to get it right.  Also I’ve noticed that the links to the shows do slow down the process of the loading the blog.  Therefore, in a real time test, I’ve put it under the read more button

Felicity & Brant – a second Animoto photoshow

So after my last post with a 30 second freebie I have signed up with Animoto for 3 months to see if it is a real goer for my part time photography business.

Tonight I grabbed about 60+ random photos from Felicity and Brant’s wedding and uploaded them into Animoto.com and selected some music.  That didn’t take long.  Then I hit the Make Video button and off it went for about 15 or 20 minutes and voila – a new vid ready to download.  It was that simple. Writing this post took me longer,…. no kidding!

Now I know a bit of practice will go a long way to getting it all right but I reckon for a first go this is not too shabby.

So why not put in a bit of practice before showing it to the world.  Because I have had heaps of people interested in seeing what the level of difficulty is.  I don’t even know if it will run easily on peoples PC’s.  So if you have a look at this,… feel free to drop a comment on whether your computer could handle it.  My computer is pretty fast so it should be ok but what about a computer 2 or 3 years old????  Let me know.

And comment on what you think of the Animoto video movements and display – it’s done all automatically.
