Celebrating 25 Years Continuous Service

Sunday was a huge event.

Now our church is pretty big by Australian sizes. And yet we managed to keep under wraps (at least from our Senior Pastor … the man in question) a total “This is your life” event. It’s been in planning for months too. So come the day John had no idea what was going on. People kept coming out of the woodwork; from New Zealand, Queensland, Kalgoorlie (a short 700+ kilometres) and the like. Bill Hybels from Chicago sent a message, as did a number of others around Australia. Lot’s of fabulous memories. Quite an incredible achievement to be serving in one church for 25 years and to have it regularly reinventing itself to remain contemporary in the local community. Well done John. That takes courage and commitment.

Took the odd picture. Will show some more later in the week or next week. For now just a couple to reflect the tone of the day - except of course when I managed to put a huge cork in my thigh when I tried to fly!

Some of the visitors.

And I couldn’t resist showing this next one - a very serious little lady!

Ryan’s Absolutely Fabulous Wife

My first February post had some pics of Ryan.  Well his other half needed some passport photos,……. and after those well they were clowning and I still had the camera out didn’t I.  She ain’t half gorgeous!  But he’s a big strong guy and there’s no way she could win this battle.  Except for …..  Guys you know what I mean - it’s a losing battle we fight :-(

Bride & Groom

Wasn’t going to post any more from this wedding.  But it’s late and I was doing a pic for print - threw it into BW and loved it. This is why I really like taking weddings.

Someone Has To Know What’s Going On!

Just to finish off the corporate branding.  The three directors of Roy Weston Integrity all have very different roles to fulfil.  And to make it run smoothly there is a young lady to personally assist them - she makes sure the communication channels are happening.  Jo does her job with a fabulous smile and a great personality.  So in addition to the new staff photos I took a couple just for her.

Now that is what I would call a business photo!

Corporate Branding

My great friends at Roy Weston Integrity (Real Estate business in Maylands; a suburb of Perth) needed a whole new batch of staff photos for the wall of fame. So Wednesday morning was the day. Great morning of photographing a whole bunch of genuine people who know how look after their customers.

Also took some pics more along the way I would see their marketing directions heading!!!

First up is the welcoming committee who holds a gift for the person who buys one of their properties _ if that wasn’t what the Rawsons Retreat Cabernet Sauvignon was for then it must have been meant for me!!!

Welcoming The Buyers

Followed up with the formal leadership style;….. followed quickly by getting down to the business of selling real estate once again. Muscles is John Caputo, one or the 3 principals. At least his wife thinks he’s fabulous :-)

Now if you want to see these next two pics you will have to click on “Read More” below. As I said these are John getting right down to business by displaying his muscle prowess for the serious art of sales. He really is a genuine guy - just ask his wife - and if you want someone to seriously look after your real estate needs call him on 0433 158 384.

It’s not just about the Bride!

After yesterdays post had someone talk about how we take many more pics of the bride than the groom. Hmmm. Probably true. Must do some analysis on that one. But it’s not all about the bride. Here’s one of the groom and his beloved doggie (a best friend who looked after him through the teenage years as he became a man!).

And the latest news!

Had to happen eventually. I’ve moved jobs. After a tad over 6 years. No longer am I the illustrious Business Manager of Christian City Church Hepburn Heights. Nope. In fact on Valentines day I commence as a Bookkeeper in the financial arena with Verigen (see the profile top right). [wonder if they'll celebrate my coming with a cake for lunch - it is Valentines day after all!!!] And if you are wondering,… No! I am not changing my church - I’ll still be an active member there. But like all larger churches after 3 or 4 weeks I’m sure someone will ask me, “You new here or just visiting?” :-) Bound to happen.

And to celebrate a pic of someone who was doing something good for her future. I grabbed a photo from one of the two wedding albums I’m in process of putting together. This young lady was quite adventurous in the photos - but this one was during that really nervous period when the clock was ticking down and the heartbeat was loud and strong!

Then, of course, once she had her man lock stock and barrel, all was relaxed and some fabulous photographs came about.

RYAN,… & some news.

Been hugely busy. Big news coming up - maybe tomorrow. But in midst of that there’s been two wedding albums to do - ones almost done the other in real early stages - and some portrait’s to complete for printing. So next week you’ll see some fabulous end results as I send a variety of kids, couples and young folk pics off to the lab.

Tuesday week (13th Feb) have a fab seminar to be at - Tero Sade is a brilliant people photographer (and other things too!) and he’s here for a one dayer at Wollaston College. Check out his Website work.

My pic for today is a collage of Ryan. This guy is a great big gentle giant. 10 foot tall and 105kg - something like that. Loves his basketball. And a real nice guy to book. Got some pics late in the day just as the sun was setting and about to pop out from the clouds before dropping below the horizon. Lighting was brilliant.

RYAN

You agree the lighting was amazing???
