Don’t get to catch up with my extended family all that often. But this week I had the opportunity to get together with my sister and her family and GRANDKIDS. I’m firmly at the younger end of our family!!! But we won’t travel too long on that one. Took the camera to capture just a few shots of them all – including 6 (yes that’s right SIX) grandchildren.
Took over 500 so might be a week or so before I finish proofing those. Got a few jobs on the run. The one below bears remarkable resemblance to my sister (and now both my sis and her daughter will both be gunning for me). But she’s great. Hobbling on a couple of dickie knees at moment but I reckon once rehab is over I’ll have to take some more.

Interesting how we develop perceptions on what ought to be. Continuing on with my last post, [business photos of staff at RoyWeston Integrity] it seems that we develop a “political correctness” on the way to portray ourselves in most professions. Real Estate is no different. Business-like, efficient, effective, friendly, customer-orientated, honest. That’s how those in the industry want themselves to be seen. On the other side buyers and sellers are asking,… “will they do the right thing by me if I give them my business?” So what is the right way of portraying someone who sells real estate?
Peter I met for only an hour. Gained a positive impression of him as a guy with a sense of humour; who is relational; who genuinely likes people and loves his family. So how do I portray him correctly? Good question. took one of his formal full length photos and did some bleaching on it and added noise on the background. You can make up your own mind. Whether you like the end result isn’t the point. In this case the photo represents something of him I perceived.

Hi. Been working at this with Paul to get a gallery up on a web page so that folks can see their proofs and the like much quicker. A test album is up along with a portion of staff shoot for my very good friends at Roy Weston Integrity (Maylands). I’m chuffed at this as it’s the pathway toward much more effective presentation of both proofs and display photos.
Couple of pics following are of Rebecca and Adam. Sadly no they are not the staff photos. Those have a business style to them.

For those who have waded through the myriad of past posts you would have seen that I was at this young lady’s wedding a couple of years ago. Well I went to see her finish years and years of med studies the other week. Fabulous celebration. She got honours. Her hubby was well pleased with her. They’ve work hard together and I honour their commitment and application to the goal. Two pics – she’s happy.

On a different note, here’s a mum and daughter shot. I work with mum and daughter is off to Tasmania for a while. So before she leaves I took the opportunity to give mum a few photos of them together.

One last one for today. Enjoy Tassie.

September in Brisbane Phil Dixon and I went for a 2 hour walk with the cameras. I took this bird late in the day – no idea what it’s name is but it’s definitely blackbilled and a wader! Doh! That’s obvious. Whatever,… this guy was sunning himself in the last of the sunshine. Suggestions of an identification please make a comment.
Anyway I hadn’t got to any of the shots I took on the walk so after attending a Med Dedication Ceremony today I decided it was time to do one up before throwing myself into a weekend of catching up on a back log of pups, people and a couple of albums.

This week our church has hosted Brendan & Cathie Clancy. This couple have been incredible. They have a huge children and youth ministry that extends across the globe. [check out their website]. I’ve been impressed with their very down to earth attitude and ease of relating with. Great people. Genuine heart. And they’re an absolute riot when let loose amongst the kids. Couple of pics. Last 12 months or so have been one huge learning curve after another. Everything has been geared toward increasing workflow speed at the same time as generating higher quality product. Sometimes the creativity juices are put on the backburner and a lot the capacity of my IT tools/software is not tapped. So today I took out an hour to try a couple of things.
Two pics below from couple of weeks ago. One sent to the wife of Steve (note the rose for him to give her … hints galore … I’m sure he still romances her!!) and the other was to try something completely different from an event style photo. That one is stepping out on the edge as Jo (Guitar Player) is an extraordinary graphic artist. Leaves me for dead.

When I first started this blog it was initially to encourage the development of a kids church blog – but to keep it going needed an expose of the simplicity of it all!!!
Well it’s up and running at ccckids. And today I put up some photos of a couple of really great volunteer workers who are incredible role models for our young kids. Craig is a young guy who has been doing great things in this area for a couple of years now. And Jeff. Been around kids and youth since Noah was a boy. Has got a few grey hairs but the kids just can’t get enough of his work – he just gets them having fun throughout the program. A pic of each and you can see and read more on the ccckids blog.
